"There is the Music of Heaven in all things and we have forgotten how to hear it until we sing. When the words come, they are merely empty shells without the music. They live as they are sung, for the words are the body and the music the spirit."

-Hildegard of Bingen.

This semi-precious Rosary is made with smooth matte howlite Ave beads interspersed with fire polished iridescent czech beads. The Pater beads are dragon's vein Agate.

Hildegard of Bingen was only recently named a Saint, so the beautiful vintage bronze centers don't exist for her. When I craft Rosaries inspired by her, I tend to include other types of centers, such as the Auspice Maria seen here.

The coloration of this Rosary is inspired by the music of St. Hildegard of Bingen, one of my favorite Saints. Sometimes music evokes a color palette. If you've not listened to Hildegard's music, check out this Vespers for Hildegard performance, featuring Stevie Wishart:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zCi5AN6do8M

I don't often see green Rosaries, yet this is my favorite color and the one I associate most strongly with Hildegard, as 'Viriditas', (greenness) is a word used in her works to refer to or symbolize spiritual and physical health, often as a reflection of the divine word or as an aspect of the divine nature.

This particular Rosary is continuously strung with supportive crimp beads throughout. Centerpiece and crucifix are true bronze casted from vintage originals, all other bronze-toned hardware is brass.

Each rosary I make is one of a kind and prayerfully assembled.

I strive for high quality and durable craftsmanship, but should you have any issues with breakage or loss of an individual segment of one of the Rosaries, I will repair the broken segment for you, or rework all of the beadwork around the original bronze elements in such a situation that the individual beadwork cannot be recreated. This service requires advance authorization and return of the entire rosary/parts so that I may give it prompt attention.

In addition to creating the custom Rosaries shown here, I'm also a member of Our Lady's Rosary Makers and make Mission Rosaries, to send to communities in need.
