St. Benedict howlite, hematite & agate semi-precious stone 5 decade Rosary
This Saint Benedict Rosary features semi-precious matte howlite Ave beads with hematite spacers, and veined agate Pater beads. The inspiration for the colors in this Rosary is the beautiful Sibellini mountains that frame Norcia, Italy- formerly known as Nursia, the birthplace of St. Benedict and Scholastica, and the current home of the Benedictine Monks of Norcia. Much of Norcia, their churches and Monastery were destroyed in the 2016 earthquake. The Monks temporarily relocated to Rome, before beginning to rebuild a seismically sound Monastery on the mountains overlooking Norcia. The Monks brew an incredible beer, called Birra Nursia, which can be shipped within the US. I also highly recommend their album of Marian chants, Benedicta- in fact, I listen to it often while making Rosaries!
The center medal is double sided.
Silver tone base metal center, crucifix and findings.
